This week marks the official start of filming for the documentary on renowned Spanish architect Fran Silvestre. Known for his style that evokes the purity of form and the harmony between aesthetics and function, the Fran Silvestre Arquitectos studio, based in Valencia, Spain, has redefined modern architecture, producing works that are true manifestations of art and innovation. With a multidisciplinary team, the firm undertakes residential, cultural, corporate, and public projects on an international scale.

Throughout its trajectory, the studio has received prestigious awards such as the Fundación Caja de Arquitectos Prize (2001), the COACV Architects Association Prize (2010), the Red Dot Design Award (2013), and the Build Architectural Award in the UK (2015). In 2016, the studio was awarded first prize by the Superior Council of Architects of Spain at the XIII Biennial in the design category.

The documentary aims to provide an immersive exploration into the architectural universe of Fran Silvestre. Minimalism, an unmistakable hallmark of his work, is more than just a style—it is almost a philosophy of life. Each project seeks to eliminate the superfluous, focusing on the essential, resulting in timeless and aesthetically impeccable structures. His works are characterized by clean lines, smooth surfaces, and a color palette that reflects the serenity of the Mediterranean Sea.

The production, which will be broadcast on Prime Video and the official Gallery platform, will cover crucial moments in Fran Silvestre's career and personal life, including the discovery of his passion for architecture and the creation of his renowned studio. In addition to his professional journey, the documentary will feature interviews with important figures in architecture, such as architects Álvaro Siza Vieira and Manuel Aires Mateus, as well as partners and the studio's marketing director.

"Fran Silvestre," the new original production by Gallery,  transcends a simple journey through architectural spaces. It is an immersive experience into a world where architecture surpasses functionality, becoming an artistic expression of light, shadow, form, and function. The documentary will explore different aspects of the architectural language and the aesthetic rigor that have made the studio an international reference, while also delving into the personal and professional journey that led to its founding and growth.

The documentary will cover more about Fran's successful projects.

Despite the beginning of filming, the project is still in its commercialization phase. Brands like Dell Anno, Land Rover, and Samsen have already secured their places as sponsors of this production. To showcase Fran Silvestre’s talent, iconic projects such as Casa Hofmann, Casa Espejo de Agua, Casa del Acantilado, and Casa Sabater will be featured in the documentary. Viewers will have the opportunity to witness aerial and interior footage of these works, both completed and in progress, illustrating how these projects impact both the urban context and the internal spatial experience. This will provide insight into why Fran Silvestre’s studio has become a global architectural reference.
