Made in DeCA is an annual event organized by the Department of Communication and Art (DeCA) at the University of Aveiro, aimed at showcasing, promoting, and awarding the best audiovisual works — including short films and series — created by undergraduate and master's students (1st and 2nd cycle). The event is a celebration of creativity, innovation, and emerging talent in the world of cinema and visual storytelling.

In 2025, Gallery had the honor of taking part in this cultural and academic celebration. Representing the institution, Augusto Custodio joined the official jury and had the privilege of announcing and presenting the evening’s most anticipated award: Best Film — a recognition of excellence and potential among young creators taking their first steps in the audiovisual field.
This moment also marks the strengthening of the relationship between Gallery and DeCA, signaling a growing partnership focused on research and innovation projects in visual arts, cinema, and design.

With this collaboration, Gallery reaffirms its commitment to the preservation, sharing, and appreciation of contemporary art. Exciting possibilities lie ahead — and this is just the beginning.
