Gallery is an institution dedicated to preserving, researching, and sharing stories about art, architecture, and design. Through original audiovisual productions such as documentaries, series, and digital archives, Gallery builds a unique global repository, ensuring that the great narratives of contemporary architecture are recorded, shared, and made accessible for future generations.
The Architects series was born from this commitment. In its second season, filmed in Brazil, the series continues its mission: to reveal the thinking and creative processes of the world’s most influential architects. Following the success of the first season—which featured renowned Portuguese architects such as Álvaro Siza Vieira, Aires Mateus, Vasco Vieira, Mário Martins, and Vítor Vilhena—Gallery now turns its lenses toward Brazil, a country with a striking architectural identity where creativity and innovation coexist in projects that impact the global landscape.

Among the highlights of this new season is Casa Ponte, a project by Tetro Arquitetura, representing the creative strength of contemporary Brazilian architecture. Integrated into the landscape, suspended on a seaside slope, and facing the continental mountains, Casa Ponte emerges as an architectural marvel. The project explores structural complexity, innovation, and dialogue with its surroundings, reflecting the principles of an architecture that respects nature while proposing new ways of inhabiting space.
Tetro Arquitetura is a firm based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, founded by architects Carlos Maia, Débora Mendes, and Igor Macedo. The studio stands out for its professional practice that values a careful study of site conditions and client needs, seeking unique and unrepeatable solutions for each project. Features such as integration with nature, the use of natural materials, and the exploration of architectural voids are hallmarks of their work, which ranges from urban-scale projects to furniture design.
Beyond its architectural significance, Casa Ponte has already won international awards, such as the Golden Trezzini Award for Best Residential Project in November 2023. In the final stage of the competition, it competed against projects from Manchester, UK, and Latvia. More recently, it was recognized as a Platinum Winner in the Architecture & Design Collection Awards 2024 in the Residential House Design category.
Gallery is organizing an exclusive digital archive, consisting of images, drawings, interviews, and previously unreleased records, which will be available to institutions, researchers, students, and architecture enthusiasts. This archive strengthens Gallery’s mission of connecting different generations to architectural knowledge, transforming audiovisual records into cultural heritage accessible to the entire world.
"Documenting Brazilian architecture in the second season of Architects Brazil is a milestone for Gallery. We are capturing not only iconic works but also the thinking of great architects shaping the present and future of architecture. This material will become part of our digital archive, ensuring access to this knowledge for generations to come." — Augusto Custodio, Global Production Director at Gallery

Filming for the second season of Architects Brazil has already featured prominent names in the architectural scene, such as Márcio Kogan and Arthur Casas. Later this quarter, Gallery will continue documenting new episodes featuring Jacobsen Arquitetura and architect Fernanda Marques, expanding the perspective on the diversity and innovation of contemporary Brazilian architecture.
The launch events for this production will begin in the second half of 2025, solidifying the importance of this documentation for the global architectural landscape. The premiere on the Gallery platform is scheduled for later this year, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to preserving, documenting, and sharing architecture with the world.
